Modernize my house exterior, need ideas!
Comments (5)A bare stretch of lawn does not say newer. I would look at planting some trees, not too close to the house, to frame the view. Some color near the house, say some rose bushes, easy ones like floribundas, in soft and compatible colors, like pink and white or cream, would make the house look more lively and attractive. Those two pots flanking the garage should have something taller in them to soften the stone facade. In fact, the pots should probably be larger and a contrasting color for a little pizzazz....See Morehouse exterior ideas please
Comments (8)You will have to increase the size of the garage to make it two doors. In addition to this, you will need two doors, two door operators, two controls and two sets of wiring. This will add up. If you find yourself having to reduce the budget, one door makes a lot more sense, plus it's easier to park two cars with one door....See MoreHelp. 1st House, need exterior ideas
Comments (1)With a clutter of stuff and most of it blocking the view of something, it's hard for us to be specific about what should happen. You have to take it in stages. The lowish plants at left of walk seem OK, but the taller things there, along the garage, are obstructive and should be removed. At the first island where walk meets drive, I would have only one low groundcover plant around the palms. I think I would remove everything (NOT palms) in front of house and redefine the bed line. I'd remove the tall things around the back porch, and redefine the bed line. If you do some clean-up and retake pictures, you could get more specific information....See MoreHome Exterior Refresh Ideas
