Leah I'm guessing you looked at the pix in my link on gillianma's thread? It showed a couple of examples, and as I said, I will have more in my article on Wed, including persian rugs over sisal. Most rugs over sisal are done to either (a) achieve a look or (b) to create a "safe zone" area for spills and/or foot traffic. Personally, I would be hesistant to place a Karastan (and I love Karastans--I've praised them a lot in the past) simply because most are pretty thick and will end up looking heavy and off balance on a sisal--especially since you mention a larger (8x10) sized Karastan. Considering the excellent quality Karastans are known for, in this case you would be better served investing in the larger size.

Needing suggestions for area rug for living area in open concept. Couch is beige , brown leather recliner and side chair with patterned material...colors are gold, green, teal and beige.. I tend to stay in neutral colors but would like to step outside box. Any ideas appreciated!

Wow! That rug looks like it was made for your room which is gorgeous, btw. My daughter recently found a La Barge table at a local shop for $100. We didn't know anything about it, but she fell in love instantly. It's a little taller than a standard coffee table, but works perfectly in her space. Looks like this one being sold for $1600 on 1st Dibs... I kind of like this, though. She could hang out anywhere in the room until you need her ; )

@KW PNW Z8 there is a lot of missing info on my part here. The gray wall that shuts in my kitchen is coming down in the near future and I’ll be building an island that comes out in line with the counter edge you see on that w all. The light will be replaced with a new one so iI won’t need to swag it and yes, those wheels come off the table legs. Those are just for moving heavy furniture. I just got done painting my floors so there was a lot of shifting of furniture happening. The table needs to be in that position to accommodate for the new island I’m building. And the high chair goes bye bye very soon as well.
