How to fix a shower pan weeping hole from leaking?

I started seeing our baseboard (near the corner of our master bath shower; same side as shower head and handle) look moldy then eventually the drywall above it looked funky. Sure enough. It was wet. Thought it was because the handle started slowly leaking, so we replaced it. Then when was cleaning up from the new handle install, water went in that weeping hole, right out into where the baseboard used to be (I removed it. It was completely rotted). Bad idea to fill in both weeping holes? Ideally would like to remodel. However, I'm pregnant and with covid, it's not happening anytime this year.
I have a photo, but not sure how to post here.
