Two month old Apricot seedling has flower and gnarled branches?

I started two apricot seedlings from store-bought pits about two months ago and they sprouted very quickly. After about one month, one of the seedlings looked as if a tiny flower sprouted in the middle of the main trunk(?). Below the flower, the branch thickened and a gnarled shoot began growing to the side.

In the other sapling, something similar happened. the trunk again thickens and forks out into two gnarled branches. There also appears to be a few “petals” of what I thought was a flower in the first one.

Is this some sort of disease? Or maybe the result of planting unknown hybrids? I can’t seem to find anything about it online. I have attached images for reference.
