I have been using it for two years now applied in April and July, I just applied my second, July feed yesterday.

I like it. It's incredibly easy to use, and my results are very good.

I scatter the fertilizer onto the mulch on the rose bed, then water it just enough so that I no longer see the fertilizer. After this, hand watering and rainfall do their job delivering the nutrients to the roses' roots.

Established roses with extensive root systems respond extremely well to the Shake 'n Feed, growing lush foliage and bloom very nicely. Roses in the bed just planted, and those new bushes in the bed for less than two years get regular individual feedings of liquid Miracle-Gro for roses until their roots are well expanded into the soil and can access the Shake 'n Feed application.

I recommend it. You can often get a good price on it in 8 lb. bags on Amazon, rather than purchasing the 4.5 lb. jug, which also goes on sale.

That is exactly what I need! I have rose bushes that are close to 20 years old and just aren't producing as they use to. I appreciate your comments on applying to your mulch.

How far from the base do you apply yours? Can you add a little extra without hurting your bush?

I increase the scatter rate shown in the little picture on the jug by 1/2. I would stay away from the rose's crown by a distance of 4" all around the crown. If the ground is bare and not mulched I would place the Shake 'n Feed down first then mulch the area to a depth of about 1.5-2.0 inches with pine bark.

Thank you! I did order it from Amazon. I normally fertilize with RoseTone. I also add SeaRose, SeaStart (from Saltwater Farms) and Neptune's Harvest as a foliar spray when I use my Bayer.
