Paint help please-need SW or Behr color match to BM Olive Branch
Comments (1)SW has all the Ben Moore color formulas in their computer. If you want a match, just go to their store and ask them for it. It's easy. :)...See MoreColor matching a BM color in SW paint
Comments (5)Cheap matte paint doesn't clean well. That's true - in general. The better (usually higher price-points) mattes clean like a dream - it's amazing actually. Aura Matte in particular is pretty awesome. I'm afraid I have to disagree about matte finish showing imperfections. Matte is a great choice for hiding walls that aren't exactly perfect and might not have been prepped to perfection. Matte is the next best choice after flat or dead flat for hiding imperfections. Some people simply can not stand to live with flat or dead flat - they need some visual 'slip' to the final finish. Once you start moving into satin finishes I do think it's tougher to hide the bumps and whatnot....See MoreEquivalent to BM Edgecomb Gray? Need SW or Valspar
Comments (12)I chose Edgecomb Gray for all of my main living areas. I first had SW computer match for the color, it wasn't spot-on, so i took the actual chip in and they color matched it by hand. It was very, very close. Maybe leans a tiny bit toward the beige side of greige than the BM sample, but that could've just been the difference in sheens. If you decide to go this route, I can post a pic of the formula from the can and you can have SW mix it up to see what you think. Other SW colors I found similar to Edgecomb Gray were SW Modern Gray and SW Wordly Gray....See MoreHelp with Paint Color Please! (SW vs BM) - pictures attached!
Comments (46)Zory, there is definite contrast, enough that you know the walls are not painted the same color as the trim. But it’s not super high contrast. I am going to attach a few photos. They are not ideal but I am out of town and these are the best that I have on my camera currently. I could take some better ones for you if I were at home. My kitchen cabinets are painted the same color as my trim and my ceiling is painted Heron Plume like my walls. If you focus on areas where you can see the white trim or cabinets next to the painted wall or ceiling, hopefully you will get an idea of what it looks like....See Moreshead
