can you help me choose appliances in my budget?
Comments (5)Generic MWs from Home Depot or Target last 2-4 years or so. Get a countertop Sharp. My first one lasted 19 years. Second one is 6 years and counting. I have a Sharp drawer in storage right now awaiting my remodel. Or perhaps a speed oven? I don't think there is a clear winner for speed ovens. I would get the Miele though. The standard one is Miele Chef Series H4042BMSS. The other is Miele MasterChef H4000 Series H4082BM. This one has a computer chef built in. Input what you want to make, how much, and level of doneness and the oven thinks for you by picking time and power/temp. The standard one you do your own thinking. I prefer to do my own thinking but others like the computer chef. About $2k for the oven and $1k upcharge for the robot chef. The Culinarian does not offer a wok burner but a wok ring/grate. It is only $160. You remove a standard grate and put this one in for woking. A bargain. I would get it even if you don't wok right now. Once you get a Culinarian and see how much fun it is to wok you will do it often."Wow Mom, your mongolian beef is better than PF Changs." The least expensive no options 48" Culinarian is $7870. Culinarian color upcharge is $400. In the 48" gas range there is no upcharge for a 12" griddle or grill. For the 24" griddle or grill it is a $1270 upcharge. The cost of custom panel vs SS depends. Are you going with least expensive custom cabinet guy in town and using maple or are you hiring a former world renowned actor turned world renowned carpenter to make your panels from imported 1k year old reclaimed English oak? Are you going with $40 zinc appliance pulls or hiring a coppersmith to make you $2k custom genuine copper appliance pulls? The former is not a big upcharge over SS. Very small in fact. The latter who knows... BTW If you want to say thanks post picks once you are done!...See MoreCan you pls help me choose a pic??
Comments (18)I like the last photro, also! "I'd b&w the pic but keep the kids in color. I have done that using Gimp, a free photo editing software. " "You could even photoshop out that electrical wire strung across." I was just playing around with my camera this morning and composed the following B&W from the view out my back door. I kept the beautiful red tree in color. I also used MicrosoftPictureIt to delete the power lines that run in front of the tree. Not a great job, but was fun....See Morecan you help me choose a garage door color?
Comments (9)I agree the stone needs cleaning, however, the colors in the photos you just posted above, do not look good on your house. Makes house look like it is sitting on stilts. You need the darker color of the stone, so the house looks grounded, and not hanging in mid air. Your entrance needs to be lightened, so your door shows up better, and the garage door, needs to blend in with the rest of the house. The places below the upper windows really bother me a lot. . This is the first picture you have posted of the entire front of house. The browner color way at the top of the windows, doesnt look good either. It makes the house look like sections have been added on to the top of the previous section. It should be painted out to the green color too, so that the house looks like it all belongs together....See MoreCan you help me choose a trim color for my newly painted house?
