Windows XP Repair- is this a fake program?
Comments (10)if you took your pc into a repair shop and they returned it with the xp repair infection still on it you need to get your money back and never take anything back there again. You have a serious rogue infection on your pc. Anyone that knows anything would have informed you of that and gone through the cleaning process. You need to go to the forum I am going to link to and register there, start a new thread of your own there in the area I link to. Tell them what you have told here and you can put a link to this thread too. You will be assisted by the team there to go through the clean up procedure to be rid of this infection. It is not one you can do with out assistance. Once you begin there please just stick with the team there and only follow those directions so there is no confusion or conflict. I am there also if you need help getting started. Analysis and Malware Removal do not do anything else to your pc and lets hope they did not clear out any of your temp file folders. do not attempt to follow the directions from bleeping computer alone get the help at LzD to guide you....See MoreFake Windows Update Warning
Comments (2)anne, from looking at your link, I don't think there's any cause for concern. I think you've misunderstood what's there. It has nothing to do with Windows updates. It simply masks its operation by APPEARING as if it were an update. The article isn't specific but all malware needs to come to your computer one way or another - from a download, from a dangerous website, from a link in an email or message, etc. Legitimate updates directly from the software producers are very rarely of concern. Sometimes there are hiccups (problems with the updates themselves that may need replacement) but almost never anything piggybacking from a third party standpoint. Setting your software for auto-updates remains a recommended practice by the experts....See MoreDecor for Fake Window
Comments (6)A. Pull out the glass and box it in to make a shelf/storage area B. Box it in and paint a scene on the very back panel, adding elements in between that will seem closer to the window. For instance, A wooded scene in the distance, red riding hood in the middle ground, and a bush with the wolf's tail sticking out closest to the window. Or, pick the scene of your choice. It could be LOTS of fun. Don't forget to add an LED strip at the top, or another form of illumination. Maybe something that is adjustable so you can use it as a nightlight, but still have it more brightly lit during the day.
