Advice for off center window soon to be backsplash for 1940 log home.

This window in pic is off center of the range. We’re swapping out appliances and I’d like to do a small backsplash covering the window opening. The current space is too hard to reach for storage.

I’d like to cover the former window opening with tile and a pot filler (maybe). But being off center might look funny. Note pot rack is centered on stove. So if I were to widen the project to be centered, there would be a lot of gals on the left side (visible as it’s an open floor plan).

What could I fill this gap with so it won’t be an eye sore? The logs and current window frame would require the tile board/ backsplash to be out several inches from the frame due to log size, mortor etc. as you can see from second pic.

The last pic: the living room is to the left and completely open another room is behind the “window” shelf. Thanks!
