How to fill in an area around a pool
Comments (1)One idea would be a gravity block (mortarless) retaining wall for that 3 foot drop. My short walls have lasted 8 years now and are still good. However check into frost heave, if that is going to be a problem or not. Here's a thread on another forum with pictures of some of these walls (just ignore the flowers) Here is a link that might be useful: example of gravity block walls...See MoreHow to fill space between sofa and dinning area

Every sq. ft. doesn't have to be filled with stuff....See MoreArea rug that fills entire room or just couch area.
Comments (3)One photo especially shows the light and dark contrast, which I wouldn't prefer: cause of the walk-through and a room with not ideal 'shape'. I would try a medium toned rug to lessen the stark contrast [of light rug]....See MoreHow to control weeds in an area filled with river rocks?

Biggest mistake was letting a contractor expand the area so much. He put a stone border around it which looks nice and keeps the rocks from migrating into the lawn, but added much more work - like many projects do I suppose!...See Morekrissie55
