Variegated monstera...not a problem exactly
Comments (4)Kyle, wish you had a pic of your plant. All white, Monstera. Most people want their plants to have more variegation..lol Your question is difficult to answer. Variegated plants need brighter light so leaves don't revert to green. Monsteras are hardy. You can always experiment with light. I don't ferilize this time of year, but if you decide to, add 1/4 dossage, higher in Nitrogen. Ex. 4-1-1 1 Tbsb to a gallon of Epsom Salts might help green it up. What's the weather like your way?? Warm, cold, sunny cloudy? It's said variegated plants are difficult. My dh once bought an African Violet with pure-white leaves. He took it to work and placed in an unobstructed east window. That plant lived 2-3 years, even flowered. It was doing great until his work-placed moved. Lower light conditions, warmer temps. Bang, it died. Keep us posted, Kyle, and if you have a photo, please post. Its leaf is huge!!! Toni...See MoreSearching for yellow-variegated Monstera Deliciosa
Comments (31)Hi Michelle! Did you figure this out already or am I stepping in too late? The top photo is an older more mature leaf shape, the lower is a more juvenile monstera that has just begun to split. If allowed to climb and given enough light, the lower pictured plant would eventually develop more fenestrations and get that large (also given that it is actual deliciosa and not deliciosa v. borsigiana). Hope this helps!...See MoreVariegated Monstera lost its variegation
Comments (1)Older thread but yes if this is cut back to the part of the stem where you can clearly see good variegation there is a good chance a new shoot will emerge from the variegated portion and have good variegation....See MoreHow many hours of LED grow lights for variegated monstera?
Comments (22)It all depends on the conditions in which you keep it. The voltage of the lamp is also important. Usually it should be kept for about 11-12 hours. When I first started doing this, I often encountered various problems. I used weak lamps, which were not enough for the plants to germinate normally. After three months of useless work, my friend said that my lamps are absolutely not suitable for my plants. It was very difficult to find a good lamp, but he advised me to use nextlight mega . It turned out to be a great investment for me. Plants do much better. If someone encounters a similar problem, then I advise you to purchase it. Have a good harvest everyone :)...See MoreVaishnavi Kathavi
