White Silestone? Eternal Calacatta Gold?

I had planned to use Neolith for countertops. When I stain tested them, every stain, including turmeric, tomato sauce, mustard and ink disappeared with soap and water and a light wipe. The young saleswoman that worked for the fabricator told me they worked with Neolith and that they could do the job. Fast forward two months. At the last minute, the head of the fabricating department said they can’t fabricate Neolith countertops and my choice was either quartz or marble. I had planned to use white Neolith on 2 Bath vanities and Neolith Estautuario in the kitchen. If I go with white Silestone for the vanities and Eternal Calacatta Gold in Silestone in the kitchen, will I be able to remove stains? I have to finalize my decision this coming week. Thank you for your replies.

I have Silestone Calacatta Gold for my kitchen countertops. I don't use turmeric or bottled ink so I can't comment on those stains. but the other items on your list, I just wiped up with a sponge. Don't know what would have happened if I had left them overnight, though. I did have a coffee stain that was left all day (from breakfast and didn't see till after dinner cleanup. Morning clean up is not too vigorous!). Cleaned up with a damp sponge.

The trick with all surfaces and stains is to wipe up, clean off, or damp blot right away.

I have a plain white quartz counter in my bathroom (Cambria White Cliff). I use hair dye and will sometimes find a splatter that I missed when cleaning up. I can clean up the dye stain with a squirt of Clorox cleaner w/bleach, that I let sit for a few minutes.

I can’t speak to the MSI stone, but we have the calacatta gold and really like it. It is very white and the veining is more subtle than the other fake marble quartzes we saw. It was expensive, but since we used it for our backsplash and counter we decided to splurge.

Just seemed to be a better white for us - as for the quartz I love the suede finish of the eternal Statuario but the fingerprints would drive me crazy. I had a sample in my kitchen and sure enough from every angle it was nothing but finger prints! I think the polished will be better for me to maintain - though I absolutely love the honed/suede look - looks more like marble for sure. I’m also worried about curry and turmeric staining - I’ve read that’s an issue and I like to cook a lot. Let me know what you end up with, will be fun for you to see all the whites! We had our kitchen designer bring them to our house so it’s all about the lighting too. You’ll like the cabinets!! :-)

I have the Silestone Calcutta Gold in my kitchen for 6 months now. Stains wipe up with water and a sponge.
