SheriLynn, can I ask why you are replacing your U-line combo 24" UC fridge? I was just about to get one. Uh oh.

I made the compromise, too. I am planning a renovation, but I needed a new refrigerator immediately. I had a side by side KitchenAid that I wanted to shoot and put it out of it's misery. It froze everything in the frig compartment. My current cabinetry wouldn't hold any of the built in models. I purchased a 36" KitchenAid Architect II Series French door refrigerator. I couldn't hold out for the Subzero or a Liebherr. I needed a new fridge yesterday. I started to buy the Bosch, but cancelled the order when I researched Bosch's reliability. I've had the KitchenAid for a couple of months now. I'm really happy with it. No problems to date. Plus, the grey interior with LED lights looks like Star Trek. I swear I hear it sing when I open it. Some reviewers complain about the sounds it makes. It does hum a bit, but nothing to loud. My experience has been good and I can recommend it. I certainly think it is a lot better than the Samsung or LG. Ask me in 10 years.

We put the same European style stainless steel pulls on our SZ 700F (integrated all freezer) as we have on our drawers, 38" mounted vertically for the upper door & 22" for each drawer. The SZ 700F is like your 736 only it's 27" wide. I think a 12" pull would be too short. Our all refrigerator is the SZ 601R, overlay panel style, and we ordered a SubZero 55" stainless steel pull for it.

Thank you all for your help! You're correct that the doors are fiberglass. I called our salesman at Ganahl this morning and he said we can't do multipoint locks on these doors and there was some other option that we would have had to select at the time of purchase but can't be added now. Wish I had researched this better and/or asked better questions at the time we ordered the doors, since they are now non-returnable. Hopefully it works out. I bought the keyed door lever and deadbolt (single cylinder - see below) for the active door and two dummy door handles for the passive door. Re double cylinder, the Ganahl salesman said the downside of that, aside from inconvenience, is that in the event of a fire or other emergency, it slows down your ability to exit the house quickly. If someone is determined to break into the house, the double cylinder may create an extra step but they'll find another way in. And P.S. I do live in a warm and safe area, although it's an El Niño year, so good luck to us and our new doors! Thank you all again!!
