Pls. go back to your pic & copy & paste from under the pic the THIRD LINE of code only, into a message you've started here. Initially once you paste it here, it'll look like gibberish but when you check the 'Preview' the image should be visible. You may need to try it a time or two to get it right, not uncommon, pls. try again.

If the colour of the fruit (not petals) is accurately reproduced in the photo it is rather a pale pink for E europaeus. They are usually a more shocking pink colour. They are prettily sprinkled through our hedges at this time of year.

Hello k0okie, I have always treated the mom plant about the same. Only thing to perhaps change, is the amount of water its getting. In the winter,it doesn't need watering as much, and can go quite dry between waterings. Is it in enough light? Good luck with your berry...its always exciteing to grow from seed!

cherries comes in MANY varieties - most commonly as orchard trees for the ones you eat. There are also bush form like nanking cherry. In your case, it looks like a wild black cherry which looks more like a forest tree. The berries are edible, but just barely if you plan to eat them fresh, and not much flesh since they haven't been selected for human consumption. But the critters will like them :)
