Need help decorating my office
Comments (13)Something like this, with floating shelves on the wall to the right of the door, place down a large area rug, simple sleek desk, with shelving below the windows and long light colored drapes, or were you keeping the desk in the pic?...See MoreNew Office: Need Help with Decor and Organization
Comments (1)By the way, it's quite chilly in there year round...we all have space heaters! I'm thinking a French cottage feel with a lot of natural textures, green and botanicals would warm things up and go with the furniture which echoes wrought iron and distressed wood....See MoreNeed help on decorating home office.
Comments (10)Although you have some pretty furniture in this room, it doesn't look like an office. It looks like a place for leftover furniture. Might sound weird, but this room needs to look more like a home office. I would swap the desk and credenza like fissfiss suggested. Above the credenza, I would add wide shelving (as wide as the credenza), with at least 2 shelves, add books and decor, and above the desk I would hang a big clock. You should also address the rats nest of cords and cables under your desk. Unfortunately with that style of open bottom desk, all your cabling and cords are on display. There's plenty of cable/cord organizing systems out there. Any decor items on your credenza and shelves should relate to the purpose of the room, ie; work related. So remove the candlesticks. Not too many people work by candlelight anymore....See Moreneed help with home office organization & decor
Comments (5)I would take out everything you don’t absolutely need and start from there. Be ruthless. In my experience, it’s more comfortable as a guest to sleep on good quality air mattress than most hideabeds. (So if you need justification to get rid of the sofa, you can try that ;) I would also move the printer off the desk (and onto a side table). I’m surprised there is so little paperwork and books. (Maybe that’s hidden). Maybe get a low bookshelf to store stuff like that. I suggest googlIng different offices to see what appeals to you, in terms of functionality and design. Good luck....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
