ajc9: I like the look of your bedroom set as well, but I agree that the night stands are a little boxy and "immature" looking, if you get my drift. They look like sturdy stuff for a kid's room. I also think that you can stay with straight lines similar to your other pieces, just not those night stands. Like I said, I like my round ones, but they match my bed, which is a little more contemporary than yours. If that line of furniture doesn't have other options you could use for night stands, you'll have to look elsewhere -- a nuisance, but you might find just the thing. My choice would be painted pieces; but metal could work.

This was over our bed until a week ago. I made it before we acquired our sweet, little brown dog (who now sleeps with us) and it is a huge ordeal to keep it dust and fur free. I was also getting a little tired of all of the gathers & trim. The painting will stay and since I still like the fabric, I'll be re-doing the drapes on either side of the bed from "puddling" rod pockets to floor-length pinch pleats.
