First, there shouldn't be anything in the planting hole save native soil. That almost certainly is affecting water flow and saturating the root ball, which the spots on lvs might indicate. As the tree is in transplant shock, you shouldn't expect all this new growth anyway, esp not now with a likely saturated root ball. Second, you don't say how large the tree was. Likely 3x3 is not large enough, as you want minimum twice the size of root ball, not a fixed size. Third, you don't need to (over)pay some company to spray willy-nilly, esp wasting your money fertilizing a stressed tree. Cease this activity PDQ. Fourth, honeylocust doesn't like to be dug and sit out waiting, hopefully this was in a pot. Combine a B&B being unhappy with the unfortunate planting in the heat of summer and a tree being unhappy in these conditions is not a surprise. Fifth, the tree needs attention and special watering, not overspray from a lawn. Stick your finger in and see if it is getting adequate moisture, don't assume. This evening I figured out what was wrong with my aeonium, a bad case of rot. I only have about 1/3 of the original plant left and there is very little roots on what I have so I'm hoping this will reroot. I'm guessing it was rotting before I even bought it because it was super soaked when I took it out of the pot from the store. I can try to take a picture of what I have left tomorrow.

Ummmmmmm, a video camera might be easier. I've just never seen insect damage resulting in black spots like this, so I thought perhaps it was some kind of fungus but that wasn't likely either. As it only affects this particular plant and none of the other succulents or plants in my garden, I can't figure out what it is about Kiwi that is so delicious or special that it turns black. I have Kiwi in three different spots in the yard in bunches of a few rosettes. Only one or two of the rosettes in the group will have the spots on the top like this. If I cut the top off of the rosettes, what will the plant do? Penny

Might be a leaf-sucking pest of some kind. Not sure I'd worry about it unless it's killing the leaves. On outdoor plants these things have a way of working themselves out (predators). On the echeveria it kind of looks like overspray from something - was someone spraying pesticide?
