I put a handblown glass vessel sink in my new bath and after about 9 mo or so it cracked. No one would accept responsibility for it and I wasn't going to pay for another, just to have it crack again. (artist said it was installed too tightly, plumber said it couldn't have been any looser or it would have leaked...yada yada.) Since I'd designed everything in that bath to go with the sink, including the wall mounted faucets, and the original sink was quite shallow and not too large, I had a HECK of a time finding a replacement. But I finally found this one and I love it. I love it more than the original sink because it doesn't show water spots like the glass did. I like that it's only 3.5" deep and can also be installed semi recessed if you need it lower. It's 16.9" in diameter. Here is the original, so you can see placement. I don't have a photo of the new one in place but will post a retailer pic. Don't know if it might work for you. My counter is deeper than this one, but I don't remember the depth - not too deep. The valve is right behind the joystick (single-lever handle). The cartridge is there too, inside the valve body, and it's removable and replaceable once you unscrew the escutcheon (round plate) that the joystick comes out of. Not a big deal. Wall mounts are what they are. It wouldn't worry me. Are you working with copper plumbing? Pex plumbing? CPVC plumbing? Some other kind? They are all good. Use good materials. When in doubt, use the better of two choices. Do a good job. That's all. Sleep tight. I opened the PDF on the Kohler site. The escutcheon is 2-5/8" (6.7 cm) diameter, and it's only 2â³ (5.1 cm) diameter for the valve with single-lever handle. Personally I'd like a One-Inch (1" or less than 26mm) cartridge for my next wall mount project. If anyone knows of one, holler back please.

They are in FL; I know them, I'm sure they do as good a job as anyone could, but acrylic is acrylic. ETA I looked into their sinks very thoroughly for a friend who wanted a 20s sink for a 20s cottage. Options are very limited now, and I expect you are also likely to have trouble with the cast iron from Signature, so unless you get really lucky with a vintage one, it's a case of pick your poison, I guess.
