Here's a picture of the slide. The colors are just too busy and not what we were looking for. Their is also too big of a drop from the top down into the slide seat. They broke the top and created a step down so the kids can slide. Waiting on good weather to strip the slide where it is yellow and green/grays to change those colors a bit darker. We may end up redoing the whole thing in a solid color. Right now it's just really ugly to me and I've hardly taken any pictures since. Here is our grill they finished. It was a small 8 ft area but worked out perfectly for us :) This is the first half of the arbor. We are building another one right behind it that goes into the ground to support the entire thing. The second arbor will be for a hammock...totally can't wait. Looking from under the arbor back at the house. My parents first house was next to a creek that we played in all summer long. At the next two houses my dad built small ponds. The year I graduated from high school they built their last house and put in a 20x40 gunite pool. We hung out there alot during and post college years because of the pool enviroment. After being in the business for 6 years and still single, I bought my first house that was next to a creek and immediately put in a monster pool. 37x54 fiberglass wall/concrete bottom with two adjacent wooden hot tubs. I dug it as deep as my backhoe could dig and ended up with 12.5 feet. I had 24ft vac poles and it was a chore to keep it clean but we had some incredible parties that I will never forget. 5 years later I was married with kids on the way and the bachelor pad turned into the young family entertainment center. The parties continued albeit in a different style. We didn't have cable so the kids spent most of their time in the pool. It was the go to place in the summer so there were lots of friends for the kids and mothers to keep my wife happy. 14 years and 4 kids later I bought a house from a pool customer in a more suburban enviroment with better schools. The pool is much smaller (18x40)and much easier to care for. We added a fiberglass spa. because of the pool our house was still the go to place for the kids and their friends as they grew up. My wife loves having them all around and knowing all of their friends. Two kids have graduated from college one is attending and the youngest still has those great formative years of high school ahead. Hopefully the pool enviroment will have the same impact on his life that it did on the other three. Grandchildren are next but hopefully not too soon?

Gorgeous!!! I love the view, the infinity edge, the grass...your house is spectacular! I would have left the spider alone, or caught it in a container and moved it down the street. Tarantulas will probably help keep the bug population down, and they really dont pose a threat...not like the scorpion I found in the house the other day! I occasionally find scorpions, huge centipedes, camel spiders, and giant wolf spiders around my pool. They are attracted to the water. I leave them alone. Even though I'm in the city, I'm against a mtn. at the edge of a wash. Last week, I pulled a live prairie dog out of the pool skimmer by the tail!

The pool has many radius turns which is why concrete is the prefered choice. If a stone or paver is used it will need to be cut. You can also use a paver that is 6" x 12" to accommodate all the turns.
