I haven’t tried that mattress. Six years ago, I bought this mattress from Costco in a king size because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. Now, we have it, Sister has one, and DD has one. We have all been pleased with it. I notice it is also available on Amazon but the price is about twice the Costco price. Even if you don’t have a Costco membership, it would be worth getting one to save that kind of money. And I believe Costco gives you some sort of extended warranty on it (maybe a year?). If you are interested in the mattress, call Costco and ask about the warranty.

We bought this mattress in 2017 from Amazon based on glowing recommendations from a friend that had one. The price was just over $200 at that time for a king size. I figured for the price if it only was good for a couple of years I was okay with it. I must say it is as comfortable today as it was then. Very happy with this purchase. The best part was it was delivered to our door in a box. Set it up and allow to expand to its full size for 24-48 hours before use.

Also meant to say I do not find this mattress to be hot. I was very worried about that, but it has been a non-issue for me.

I can’t help you with that brand or any other, but DD and I have been researching these bed-in-a-box for DGD for her college apartment this fall. We are looking for a full size mattress because of space limitations. We came across Tuft and Needle which gets a good recommendation from Consumer Report plus they sell them at Mattress King so you might be able to go try one out if there is one on display. We haven’t gone that far yet in our search but it’s about the same price. From what I have read, the foundation you buy for these things is almost as important. Allswell has a pretty good rating too. Nectar is another, but it is a little more expensive.

We recently bought a new mattress (back before Christmas). We did not try the mattress you ask about, but the mattress store actually sold a couple of the "mattress in a box" types. We also have friends who bought one, but I can't remember the brand. First of all, we were used to a mattress with coils and we like a firm mattress. So many mattresses today are foam and to me felt like a marshmallow. We made sure we bought from a store where we had x-amount of time to return mattress if we didn't like it. The first mattress we bought had coils but everything was wrapped in foam. We actually already had two mattresses we were trying to determine between when the store manager showed us this mattress. I should have trusted my (our) own judgement. The mattress was too soft. Also because it was so foamy, to me, it was hard to push yourself up, etc. The edge support was awful. We returned it. We bought a firm Beauty Rest (Black Label I believe). It took me a couple of weeks to get used to, but we both like it. The salesperson told us that almost all mattresses are now wrapped in foam, even (like ours) when they have coils. Also, the number of coils makes a difference. Even the number of tufts in the covering make a difference! Honestly, I think mattress shopping is mind boggling. I don't think any of the mattresses in a box would have much such support. You don't think about that, until you have a giant marshmallow. There are times you want to sit on the side of the bed! The mattress we returned, and I am not exaggerating, I would sit on the side of the bed and feel like I could just slide on down to the floor LOL. Good luck. I think a mattress is one thing you should be prepared to spend money on because your sleep is so important to your health. I believe you could probably get a no interest finance offer if you are interested in spreading the cost out a bit. Good luck! I am so glad we finally found one we like and I do not envy anyone shopping for a new mattress!

ETA - some people may like/prefer a foam mattress just as some people like a soft mattress vs. firm. Not to throw off on any of these, a mattress is a very personal choice. Also, I saw where the base is mentioned, and yes, that is important. We no longer have a box spring (although you can go that route), but a base - ours is an adjustable one, which I will admit is nice. Another thing I found is that the newer mattresses seem to be thicker than older ones (I am not sure how old our former mattress was) and I have a devil of a time finding a fitted sheet that will cover ours!

I, personally, would avoid a memory foam mattress. Lots of off-gassing and toxic ingredients that eventually end up in a landfill somewhere. Do your own research, but here is one source of info:

This matrress is a hybrid of coils and memory foam, I would not want an all memory foam bed. i need firmness, so I would definitely need coils as well.

I've newer heard of that brand, but we have a hybrid mattress and have really liked it.

DD and her DH bought a purple mattress about 3 months ago. It is a bed in a box So far they love it. But I think it's a bit more expensive than what you are looking for. We need a new bed too and are undecided about what type to get. The search is on...

After watching that video, I’m ready to order one. I like the idea of a hybrid mattress. I spent a lot on a mattress from Verlo, a franchise. I had to send it back once to be adjusted and it is still too hard. I use a memory foam topper but that sleeps hot.

If you buy a bed in a box, do the delivery people carry it upstairs and unpackage it? Do they take away your old mattress?

We have an Endy which is a Canadian brand I believe. Love it. Top bit is a bit squishy so cozy but otherwise quite firm and lovely. Haven't had any back pains since getting it so am in heaven.
