Too Late to Transplant Russian Sage/Japanese Bloodgrass?

Hi All. I have three 15" containers with Russian Sage Denim N Lace and a 6'x6' raised bed with Japanese Bloodgrass (Imperata cylindrica). I want to make a swap and move the Sage to the bed and some of the Bloodgrass to the containers. However, the Sage is about 15" tall now and the flower buds are forming. Plus, it's solidly in the 80's here. Are they more likely than not to survive the swap or should I hold off until next spring (which seems like decades away). Although they say Russian Sage thrives on abuse, so maybe they would like it :P Thanks!
