Where to put a trash can and servo-drive trash cans
Comments (9)I love both of my servo drive (Ikea utrusta) trashcans, one beside the prep sink and the other under the clean-up sink. It was a lot of work and adjustment getting them in, and they aren't as sensitive as they probably could be - but perhaps that is for the best, as they don't open unless we want them to. My contractor didn't really think through the design logistics carefully, it was his first experience with these, and the cabinet guys had a steep learning curve. The cans are smaller than I would've preferred, but I think that is poor design/planning and not a shortcoming of the servo unit which is strong enough to push open the drawer with one recycling and one trash can....See MoreOutdoor trash can: U-Line 35 gal trash can w/wheels?
Comments (22)I think outdoor closets for trash cans are a nuisance unless one lives where skunks and raccoons are a serious problem with your trash. They get nasty inside when the cans overflow, and they will. Just remember, whatever brand of trash can you buy, and no matter how sturdy, your trash pickup guys will manage to tear the h#ll out of them, and will never put them back where they found them....See MoreFinding broken eggshells outside of kitchen trash can
Comments (17)A mouse is most likely, though I wasn't aware they were attracted to eggs. A mouse can EASILY scoot under a trash can lid; after all, they don't close tightly like Tupperware -- the lid just sits on top. Anything a mouse can get his nasty little head through, the rest of his body will scoot through too. Mice are NASTY. I'd put out some poison and see if he "takes the bait"....See MoreI need help with trash can cabinet inserts and custom sized trash cans
Comments (16)I'd recommend checking Rev-A-Shelf's options for replacement cans. They make pullouts too (i.e., cans with drawer slides to be mounted within an existing cabinet), but if you only need the cans, they have many sizes. Or if you do end up switching to a single large can, you might need to get a new pullout assembly as well. It sounds like you are a patient person in a difficult situation. Good luck....See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
