Has Anyone Used Royal Oak Engineered Wood Flooring?`
Comments (72)Yes, they had to sand it lightly and then carefully remove all dust and residue. I don’t get why you are buying this flooring to begin with though. I would never have bought it if I had known how poor the finish was and that the company didn’t care or stand behind their product. In the end, we spent much more than we would have if we had just bought a better product. There are quality wood and engineered floors out there. Why don’t you give them your business? I posted my experinece so that people could learn from my mistakes, not repeat them. 🙁...See MoreEngineered Hardwood - Provenza Carnegie Hall vs. Du Chateau Antique Wh
Comments (9)I recently remodeled and installed Mirage floors. I had researched and Mirage were reasonably well reviewed and had an acceptable wear layer. I was more concerned with the durability of the finish since the reality is that I would NOT refinish any floor because of the logistical impossibility of doing so in my condo. Mirage is based out of Canada and claim to use green lumbering and manufacturing practices which was something important to me. I wanted to go with either US or Canadian company. I had considered white oak but I have a lot of white oak cabinetry and so I opted for the red oak in a natural blonde finish. I chose the Select and Better option because it had less grain and fewer knots and so was less busy. My floor is really a backdrop and not the "star" as I have area rugs which are the main floor decorative element....See MoreMafi/Grato/Siberian/DuChateau/Legno engineered floors...experience?
Comments (6)I installed DuChateau (Riverstone Collection in color Sava) in January 2022. We have been very happy with the floors and they have outperformed any expectations I had and worn much better than the site finished floors I owned before. We have 2 adults, 2 large dogs and 1 small dog in the house. This morning my husband saw a dried blob of vomit on the wood floors. Our small older dog had vomited in the guest bedroom, but I don't know when it happened. I grabbed some damp paper towels, let it sit on the vomit for a few minutes to soften it up and it wiped right up. No stains or any marks on the floors. The larger dogs drool on the floors regularly and there are no stains from the drool. I wouldn't hesitate to use this particular DuChateau floor again....See Moreexperience with duchateau guild engineered floors (non-oiled)?
Comments (0)Can anyone out there share their experiences with the Duchateau Guild Lineage line? I would love to hear initial thoughts, how it's holding up, etc as well as see pictures of it installed. I love the look of these floors and the price point seems decent. Oh, and the lacquer as opposed to oil finish seems like a plus to me for easier maintenance and a little more durability. Thanks!...See MoreMary Conway
