Comments (10)I'm not familiar with this rose but it sure is a beauty---the second picture took my breath away----it is gorgeous and I bet it smells good also. Florence...See MoreDeuil de Dr. Reynaud
Comments (3)Mine's been in the ground a year, and its flowers are absolutely divine. Mine is really puny, though. It doesn't seem to want to put on much new growth. I don't know if I should give it better food, or just be a lot more patient, but I'm getting a little bit frustrated with its scrawniness -- especially now that someone else posted pictures of *their* second year Dr. Reynaud, and it was ginormous! Gosh, what a fragrance, though. And I love the color....See MoreDeuil de Dr Reynaud fragrance
Comments (6)Thank you Rosefolly for tipping the scales in Dr R's favor. Intensely good fragrance I hope you meant. I'm not crazy about my honey fragranced roses. It's hard to land on just one deep colored rose for the middle of the garden sight unseen and nose unsmelled. I do love raspberries and should just buy a berry bush instead of Madame Isaac. i was just reading about Souvenir du Dr Jamain. The thornless aspect sounds nice . A sword weilding Munstead Wood outside the bedroom window could be a good burgler deterrent. Our aging guard dog sleeps through everything; amazing how his own woofing and running like a young pup in his dreams doesnt wake him. No one in my neighborhood has any Old Garden Roses, so i still have not experienced what rose forum members talk about as far as rich old rose fragrance. If my nose ever recovers from wet dog all winter, any rose will smell sublime....See MoreDeuil DE Dr. Reynaud cold tolerance
Comments (2)Kelly I got a small one last year and it overwintered well for me. I can't tell you how big it will get though, sorry!...See Morekatyajini
