Casement window cost for brands like sunrise or okna
Comments (17)As WOW said, there is a big difference between high pressure /sleazy sales tactics and a company that offers reasonable incentives and provides thorough information about the service that they offer. You are making a very large investment, so you really want to get as much information as possible and get a good feel for the company that you may choose. Simply asking for the price alone is at the other extreme from the 3hr dog and pony show, you really want to be somewhere in between to be able to make a good choice....See MoreAndersen windows vs Okna Windows
Comments (42)We have also been doing extensive research thanks in large part to this site and some of the insightful posters. We saw all the usual suspects including andersen and pella. We were shown the Okna 600 and liked the window more than andersen believe it or not. We have a total of 10 double hungs with no grids. We are doing a ” basic replacement ” and we were quoted $7600 for all 10 windows including installation ( Okna 600 deluxe ). We actually signed a contract last week and think we were given a competitive price although we didnt base our decision soley on price. We should have our windows installed in late February based on all the supplier issues everyone is facing. We are also having a front door installed by the same company and we chose a fiberglass entry door by HMI Doors based on their recommendation. Its a craftsman style door with no side lites and we are paying $3400 including installation. Needless to say, we are excited and can’t wait for our new windows and door....See MoreNo one has heard of Okna windows?
Comments (6)They were on the list of top 100 window and door manufacturers last year ( by sales volume) , forget the exact number. Pretty impressive for what was essentially a very regional company until recently, and in a time when other manufacturers are closing their doors on a regular basis....See MoreOkna 400 v. Okna 500
Comments (31)SOrry to hear about your problem. Was the source found? Did they determine that it was the window and not the roof? Did the installer refuse to fix it or deny responsibility? I don't think that I have read anyone "seminating" false facts that a low price is a scam. I only see advice from "behind the curtain" in the industry regarding what is a fair price and what is not. Even then, its all about the amount of risk involved. I think all would agree that buying from a tiny operation "no name" installer at a very low price is a much riskier proposition than an established company with a great reputation and history. Common sense. There are many statistics to prove that, and while sometimes an amazing deal is exactly that, there is a very good reason why construction has one of the highest complaint rates and a poor reputation, and its primarily because of fly by night companies as this is about the easiest industry to get into. Big companies aren't perfect either, but once again, the chances of problems are reduced in a linear fashion as the reputation, age, and size of a given company goes up. The trick for the the consumer is finding the balance point in that equation, where things are just right and cost and risk are balanced with the proper weight on each side. If there is any bad advice being "seminated" here, it is that using a "no name" at a price that seems to good to be true is a wise choice. If it worked for you that's great, but more times than not it results in people posting here looking for advice on how to deal with the debacle that they have found themselves in....See MoreProSource Memphis
