Please don’t mind the things all around. I just painted the walls white and started to furnish. Plan is to have mostly white or light furnitures with minor wood toned furnitures like ladder shelf, the wood dining table, etc.

Yes, you need to provide photos of the space and other furnishings and t abledimensions. That's a midcentury look though multiple styles of chairs could go with it. To link the table to the chair, pick one feature from the table for the chair: the wood, the iron legs, or the black legs.

This amazing chair is on sale at West Elm. What's great about it is that you could pull it into the living room area as a side chair when you have company. The upholstery comes in many colors, and the legs, of course, echo your table. But will it harmonize with the furniture you already have? And is it too big for your table?

Just saw your photos. Is that sofa staying? The oversized fireplace thing? The chairs under wraps? Honestly, the least of your concerns are dining chairs. Have you bought that table yet? If not, wait until you get a new sofa (if that's the plan) since it takes up the most space and will define it. Getting things piecemeal doesn't work. You already have multiple pieces that don't work together.

That chair would work with black legs or black upholstery. Something to tie into the black legs on the table.

Why don't you start an Inspiration book of small living rooms and dining rooms that you like on Houzz? That way you can get an idea of what you like. Everything should connect to everything else, not in a matchy/matchy way, but in elements echoing the other elements. You know, you can get design help from all the chains--West Elm, Crate and Barrel, Room and Board, CB2, etc. Or look for an online designer to consult so that you don't make too many mistakes, something that's way to easy to do when buying a lot of furniture at once. If you haven't purchased that table, which is great, then wait until you start to look at other pieces.

Since your space is small, do choose very comfortable pieces that are up on legs and are well proportioned for your space. What does your kitchen look like? Is it open to the living and dining areas? These questions are more important than what color pieces should be. If you have wood kitchen cabinets seen from living areas, then you'll need to make them part of the mix. Ditto your flooring.

Good design is holistic--everything connects. I'm showing these photos becausethe table and overhead light echo the floor. Chairs echo style of table but pull the eye to the beautiful painting. The painting actually dictates the choises. This space is harmonious even though nothing "matches."

Here coffee table, rug, and sofa all work together. Nothing is overstuffed or bulky. Every room has art work that creates a mood and palette for the room.
