Are you sure you can't remove the stone facing? Especially if you're just going to put 3 foot high cabs in front of it? It looks like you have a LOT of stuff and it would be worthwhile to consider expanding the space. Do you have somewhere else to eat in the house? Would you consider using some unfitted cabinets like IKEA VÄRDE? They seem like they could be a good fit for the age of the home and could sit in front of your low windows with no problems. They could also sit in front of the stone. I rarely see a VÄRDE kitchen I like but I think they can be attractive when done well especially mixed with Adel off white for fitted cabs. This option would also be more attractive if you really think the kitchen won't affect resale because I think buyers don't get Varde and could be turned off by it. I haven't any feedback for your LR question, but I wonder how much you are wedded to the 1/2 bath. I know most people would not agree with me, but I personally would rather have a shorter, clearer shot to the kitchen and to A bathroom from the garage, by making a separate entrance through the half bath, and adding another door from it into the one main bathroom. Or if two toilets are considered mandatory, I would rather think of a way to incorporate another bath upstairs to serve as an emergency bathroom which then would function for the upstairs area. The way you have it, to haul groceries or anything from the garage one has to go clear through the living room and all the way around. And coming home needing to go to the bathroom, the same. Also, for safety reasons, I would rather have exit doors in different areas. Sorry, hope you don't offense since a critique of your plan is not what you are asking!

I recommend also using pendant lights over your island. If you do not use pendant lights, I recommend 9 lights in rows of three. You will also want a light above your sink. Under-cabinet lights are nice to have as well.

Pictures of the space would be awesome and the layout of the kitchen showing the cabinets and appliances all marked Are those the only windows in the whole space .Usually DW means dishwasher so whatis the DW in your drawing I assume laundry . Where is the nook I am confused with the drawing and the explanation.Do you mean the nook is the DR.
