Exterior paint recs for '50s raised ranch with red brick and wood
Comments (9)I'd go with a warm gray, possibly drawing a shade from the mortar between the bricks. Siding and garage door the same color, so garage doesn't become more prominent. (hit the downspout too -- siding color above and brown below the brick line.) I'd also paint whichever entry door will be the "front door" for guests a bright color to draw the eye and make a clear distinction....See MoreRed Brick Ranch Exterior Colors
Comments (0)We recently bought a 1950s red brick house, and I'm looking for suggestions on exterior paint colors. We'd like to keep the brick as is but update the siding, shutters, trim and front door. The first picture is the house now (we are going to remove the large wheelchair ramp and add some landscaping). The second picture is old, but it gives a better view of the front of the house. TY in advance!...See MoreExterior colors for red brick, ranch house?
Comments (6)here are some suggestions for the house, below. Do you plan on doing any landscaping? That alone will add more than half to curb appeal. just redoing your path and flower beds would make a huge difference. here's a brick ranch like yours with nice curb appeal. at the very least, clean up the walkway edging and redo the flower beds. Have you thought about extending your front porch? You could do something similar to this or see how they did the porch addition onto this one? you don't have to do all of this, just the porch I love this one. the landscaping and the brick redo. ideas for the brick...See MoreBrick ranch with red roof. Comments (17)It sounds like the general consensus is no paint. We’ll focus on the landscaping first. Swap the columns to something more modern but keep them white. The roof isn’t standing seam metal but still expensive nonetheless. I’m not sure how to brighten the front porch. These photos were taken around mid day so that isn’t helping the lighting situation on the front. It would be better lit in the morning hours. We’ll be adding new lightening which will help in the evenings. I think the suggestion of brightening the front door and adding furniture or decor will help make the area feel more inviting. The interior design plans are a new kitchen with white shaker style cabinets, new flooring, lighting, and interior doors throughout. As well as renovating both bathrooms....See MoreA T
