Can someone ID a Plant for my Sister? House Plant
Comments (15)I bought two of those at Home Depot this past winter and decided to combine them (too many plants/not enough room)So I took them out of the pot, bought a bigger pot that would fit both of them and re potted them together, they didn't make a fuss at all. as a matter of fact they both had new growth within a few weeks after repotting and they weren't at all root bound. My sister in law just wacks hers off at the top, as far down as she desires her plant to be and sticks the cut off part in the dirt and gets more plants that way. Her stem seems to be a lot thicker than mine and maybe that is due to the whacking she gives it a few times a year....See MoreCan someone ID this plant?

Comments (9)That's pretty. I'd be quite happy to have mine grow into something like that. By "toss them", I assumed it meant that they won't last outside in my zone- Northern NJ? I don't toss anyway. I have a Yucca (so id'd on the tropicals forum today) that was planted 2 seasons ago. Couldn't take inside, so I just overwintered. It didn't come back last year, and now- surprise- it lives! I was so happy to see it, and didn't believe it could be the Yucca, but it sure does look like it. I'll plant them and we'll see what happens. Thanks, all. Here's the possible Yucca:...See MoreCan someone ID this plant and can I transplant it?
Comments (4)Looks like Magnolia grandiflora to me. Not something I would expect to self sow in NJ, but what do I know. I'm from the south. Transplanting in fall or spring would be best, but you could do it now if you take an intact root ball and water well over the summer. It's small enough for that....See Moreprairiemoon2 z6b MA
