Help me choose an exterior paint color - and any updating ideas?

We are repainting in a few weeks. Want to keep the blue color family, but looking for more of a dusty gray/blue with white trim. Looking at Hirshfields paint - 0626 Blue Depths or 0506 Ocean Storms

Windows will not be painted. Thoughts on white trim boards around? Shutters?

What are general ideas to update our deck when it is replaced?

James hardie has some good colour options for exterior. I would trim the windows and a belly board across the bottom of the gable. when you redo the deck maybe go bigger ontop of the garden

If you going to keep with the blue, I’d be inclined to go a deep blue back and use lots of timber trim for deck, garage, maybe shutters, a thought, more modern perhaps. Lots of greenery in landscape

I'm in agreement with you that for your situation something of low contrast would be best. You could have the shutters more or less match the house color (or even go ligher, say a cream color) or a soft green with yellow tones to it. I would let the landscaping provide the color (and I'm so hoping you're not doing grass in your tropical environment) and let it be the lush counterpoint to your cool-looking light colored house. I think it would be beautiful.

Thank you very much...some pretty colors to think about! I'm also really hoping someone with remodeling knowledge has some ideas for changing the look of the house itself a little. I just keep looking at it and can't seem to think of what could be done. Anyway, thanks again! Really appreciated.

I would have selected anodized bronze,(not the powder coat brown) window frames. Stairs like these below could be a great addition to your home instead of what you current have. What could be more welcoming? This is how a gray might look IF THEIR GRAY IS DARK. Can't find the actual color chart, but APO looks to be a grayish white and I would NOT go with that. Garage doors can be painted in necessary because they are available in so few colors.

Of the two colors you are considering, I think Blue Depths is a better color.

A pergola, like this in white from your front door along the side of the building would look really charming. The lattice is very pretty. You could move the steps to the front door out to the front more and let the rain leader come straight down.
