I don't know much about roses but your rose looks a lot like a white climber for sale at Edmunds roses named Cloud 10 that I was considering buying. This is Edmunds description of it: "Spring finds this modest climber heavily flushed with pure white, full and fluffy blooms that resemble English roses. As we now expect from William Radler introductions, Cloud 10 exhibits exceptionally clean, dark green, matte foliage with a high level of disease resistance to black spot, rust and mildew making it especially good for Southern regions. Reblooms throughout the season. It is hardy to Zone 5, but there it may resemble a large shrub rather than a climber - it's beautiful either way. Flower Size: 4-5". Fragrance: Not noticeable. Hybridizer: Radler, 2013"

It has no scent at all. As far as repeating, I have no clue. Husband and I discovered it while talking a walk through the neighborhood. I've never noticed it before as we never take that rout for our walks. That was about 3 weeks ago when we saw it and when I took the picture the blooms were sort of spent. I will have to keep an eye out on it and see if it reblooms. I checked out some photos of Dr Huey and it looks like it really may be it although some photos show it a little bit more deep red then my neighbor's. I guess I will have to wait and see if it reblooms

Some people have said that 'Rose de Rescht' suckers a little, others say it never does. So either there are two versions going around, or perhaps suckering varies. I got mine from Heirloom Roses, and while it hasn't really suckered like a Gallica, it did send up two new canes within 12" of the center, but a few inches from the closest cane. In any case, I don't think your rose is 'Rose de Rescht', even if it was a rebloomer. Mine -- and all those I've seen in pics -- has different foliage. Yours looks like something along the lines of a Hybrid Gallica, which means it could have Centifolia or something else in it. Judging by how it has appeared to spread through that area, I'd say that we'd need some of our Gallica experts to weigh in. :-) ~Christopher

A lattice was there when we moved however I don’t think it’s a climber. (Still a rose newbie but I’ve since purchased a Pearly Gates climber and they don’t seem similar). Been using the lattice to tie some canes that protrude out onto the path however the canes are rigid and not very pliable. These aren’t traits of a climber, right? They do share some qualities to Lady in Red like the huge flowers and strong fragrance however. I will try to get a closeup photo when the buds bloom again.
