Hello!

We are gearing up to hire someone to paint or stain my parent's deck. It hasn't been stained in years - and I want to make sure I pick a stain or paint color that can liven up and modernize my parent's home -- yet still have a traditional feel and style (if that makes any sense).

The house is all brick in the front and in the back it's mixed with wood and brick. My now deceased father actually built the house himself - along with some of his family members in 1988-89.

The gutters are Dark Brown - and we painted the doors and garage a few years ago SW Tricorn Black -- but we want to change the colors this summer as well.

The picture below is about 2-3 years-old - as we have added some additional landscaping around the foundation of the home.

I have been researching paint and stain color ideas and some combination ideas I have are below.
