Comments (9)Once the room is painted it will make a world of difference. There are a zillion shades of white. Your drapes on the right (which I think will certainly look the best) have a lot of blue in them as do your carpets. Pick a good shade of white to go with them. Actually any white color will go well in that room if it blends with the sofa's. Question? Are you going to paint the window panes as well? My guess, you will probably not. With painted white walls and beige sofa's and white drapes it is going to be very light in there. Which is good, no? I have painted dark paneling over the years and it looked wonderful. Paint is and has always been the thing that can change a room more than anything. Good luck and remember you can always change the drapes. lol .....Jane...See MoreNeed help choosing window treatment fabric
Comments (24)That cute fabric is from Clarke & Clarke. The problem with the new vintage look fabric is that it is such a large print. Seems like everything is "Go big or go home" these days, like the new wallpaper designs. Looking at the new pictures of your windows, I don't really think valances is the way to go. It seems to make them top heavy. I love the look of the curtain on the lower half of the window. After you paint your door and trim see what you think of your new breakfast room.
