That's so nice of you, Karl. Gary spent all day working in the gardens with me yesterday, so that was a wonderful Mother's Day gift in itself. I planted roses, and he transplanted minis and mulched. He is very talented artistically as far as creating gardens and adding interesting stonework, etc. We never knew it til now. :0) It's kind of lonely having all 3 of our kids out of the house now. One in Guam, one on Long Island, and our youngest lives only 10 miles away right now, so we're meeting her for dinner at Moe's (Mexican cantina style food) in about an hour. Hope you all have a nice day as well! P.S. We owe our love of rose gardening to Mother's Day 2000. We had nothing better to do that day than to visit a garden center that day, and see our first Austin rose in a box. I thought I couldn't grow a marigold, much less a rose, but Gary bought me Teasing Georgia and Falstaff, and the rest is history! :0) Phyl

LOL @ yayagal...I was checking in real quick too before my daughter comes over :-) We're going out for a 4 generation lunch. I'm lucky enough to have a grandma who is nearly 103, still lives alone, and is looking forward to going out to eat with us. So even though I have 2 grown daughters, I'm still the granddaughter too! rjr220--I was just going to start a Happy Mothers Day thread. I also was going to mention that only the TKO Mothers out there probably appreciate if we are given an appliance to mark this day! And what mother is excited to be loading the dishwasher on Mothers Day? ME!! Every load in the new drawers is an experiment and a joyful experience! My dh gave me a gift card to Overstock! I'm getting an ottoman to go with the new couch that is going to totally complete this renovation! Happy Mothers Day to all!
