So it’s time for me to ask what other colors are you putting with the green? What color is the furniture? Bedding? I would consider NOT painting the room green but something else then bring your green in with window treatments , bedding etc. What is your wallspace like? Are you hanging any art? What about getting some areas framed with moulding and only painting the interior area of that moulding the Kelly green? Or buying large canvases and painting them green as a back drop to art work? I may have missed it but have You shared the other elements in the room yet?

printesa, I think this is one of those times when I will have to choose my lyin' eyes over the estimable folks at Consumer Reports. The article linked above, where they say blahblah is better because it hides more in one coat, is NOT the attribute that makes me appreciate F&B. (nor,as F&B points out, is it what they aspire to do.....in fact, rather the opposite) And the claim that the blahblah shade match was within "1%", only made me wonder which specific shade they picked. Fun fact: ever look at the F&B "dupe" lists? For awhile I did, just to note all the different dupes for the same F&B shades. My point is that different paints have different qualities, pigments and bases do different things. All that typed, I am sure blahblah paint can be a great product and I KNOW that most paint can be the backdrop for a successful and beautiful room. But the idea of an exact match across brands is foolish,imo.

BM is mostly used on the East coast. Dunn-Edwards is a Southwest paint and very popular. It is a high-quality brand formulated for hot weather with their LEED certified factory located in Arizona and headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. Various quality level lines, with even the "lower" quality still being equal to many other brands mid quality. Dunn-Edwards also does not advertise- strictly word of mouth. So you might not have heard of them if you're not directly in either the painting/building world or a designer/architect. Everest is their high-end interior paint which is 100% acrylic and very durable. It is also zero VOC which is great if you're sensitive or have allergies. Has great coverage too!

yes, the gray tones are hard to work w/those tiles. I just had a complete reroof during the paint change. The entire neighborhood (I'm in North OC) has those heavy pink/terra cotta cement tiles. but they've faded after 40 years. I couldn't wait to get something diff. If you want to remain period to your home, stick w/the white/yellows for the stucco, and the greens/blues or even black for the trim. have you thought about doing black? It's very handsome this is a creamier white w/more of a dark bronze trim blue or green always works I did find one with a dark charcoal gray and a swiss coffee stucco. this color gray would work. You need a true gray with no blue or yellow undertones. this is a 1930's in Los Feliz I still like the black though i'm jelly of your home. vintage spanish are my favorites. I'd love to redo one. (you in the highland park/echo park/ lincoln hts area?)
