Hi, I posted a question in Design Dilemma yesterday and attached a picture of some Armstrong Alterna samples I am considering. I am reattaching them here as they might be close to what you are looking for as well. Most of the LVT I found is too patterned for me, but these three are subtle. This Armstrong style is the Multistone line and there is a white in this grouping that is even more even in tone and light in color than the three I am considering. All the LVT brands seem to have a solid white but that is just too stark and modern for my taste. Mannington Audra has Manhattan White and that is also very pretty. I was able to borrow the samples from the flooring store to take home, but I ordered some samples directly from Armstrong. However, I was a bit miffed for getting charged $8 for a tiny 8 x 8 sample plus shipping. I believe Mannington will send a sample for free. Armstrong is made in the U.S. and Mannington is bringing theirs back this summer (I called each company because this is important to me).

@JAN MOYER That is a lovely choice. Would you ever recommend using LVT in the same vicinity as actual hardware. Here's picture that's a step down into a rear entry hall. Off to the left it leads to a laundry alcove and full bath. Obviously, not a good candidate for actual hardwood. So I've been thinking of using LVT instead. Thoughts?

Cynthia, I couldn't be happier with my floors. They don't show footprints, they are easy to clean, I don't have to deal with grout. There's no scratches. You can hardly tell that they're dirty, although I'm good about keeping it vacuumed. So glad we got long boards - makes all the difference or boards that are all the same size. We struggled with whether we wanted real wood or LVP. So happy I went with LVP. I love real wood but we live in a high moisture area off the water with lots of salt, etc.

This photo is why I hate my Shaw laminate floors. My cleaner just cleaned the floor (with Shaw’s own brand of Hard Surfaces Floor Cleaner) and then walked on them with bare feet. Instant footprints. It’s 10x worse in person bc the natural light from windows enhances the smudges. I’m tired of never having clean-looking floors. I’m tired of always wearing socks in my house, and even sock feet leave endless smudges. I tried the Laminator Plus and it didn’t work. I’m thisclose to just saying F it and ripping them out. If you’ve replaced your floors, what have you had luck with? Engineered hardwood, those tiles that look like wood? I want something durable as I have dogs and this is my kitchen.
