I trimmed hair, not really a cut. I sometimes do my bangs myself but never the rest of my hair because I don't have a second mirror to look at the back of my head, but I did it last week without it. Have no idea how it turned out. ( :

Yes, I’ve cut my own hair. I just stand in front of my sink in the master bathroom, though. I don’t get in the tub. I take a shower and wash my hair while in the shower. Then I get out and cut my hair.

No. I had my stylist cut my hair extra short right before shutdown, so I have a few more weeks before I resort to using kitchen shears on it.

Have a pixie style, and first time it was a slight trim. Two weeks ago I did a major cut and was very happy. I followed the lines of my last "real" cut and it seemed easy.

I had a friend cut my hair last weekend when we went on a fishing trip. He used electric shears with a #4 guide. My hair hasn't been this short since early grade school when my mom used to give me crew cuts! I'm loving it.

Since I always cut my own hair... (well, get it done about once a year only) it wasn't any different... but I cut it way to short this time... and will be more careful next time, which should be a while. :)

No. I wear my hair longish so a little extra length doesnt bother me. My roots,on the other hand, might look ridiculous if my natural color was darker. Luckily, while they are obvious, they are not obnoxious and I dont care enough to try a chemical process on my own head. I am looking forward to getting my roots touched up and a trim. But not enough to do it myself.

I shaved my head about 2 weeks ago, I missed the neck area and that bothers me but the rest of it is growing in nicely. It grows fast and I love the freedom.

I always cut our hair. My mother gave me hair cutting shears when I was a kid. She said I'd save a fortune doing it myself. She was right! Trimmed 3" off mine this morning. Did DH's last week. I put red highlights in my hair 3 weeks ago....that needs touching up.

I always stretch time between professional haircuts by trimming my own front and sides. Like you Glenda I wet my hair. Then I use clips and hairbands to corral hair I don't want to touch. I have a set of scissors from my mom that includes one of the thinning shears.

Two25acres, just use a regular razor (ie. shaver) on the back of the neck. I also buzz my head and agree it's very freeing.

Have a chair in the tub, always, and it felt good just to get my head wet and cut. Had a plastic bag to catch the cuttings so they would not clog the drain.

Been coloring my own hair for 30 years so that hasn't changed. I will say though that Excellence by L'Oreal is really the best I've had! Just colored over the weekend and as I rinsed it out, it felt like it already had been conditioned. I went ahead and used the conditioner just because I felt like I should follow instructions but I honestly think I didn't really need it.

I cut DHs hair last week, and he liked it just fine. Mine was cut short just before the restrictions, so it is growing out but still looks good. DD in Texas cut her DHs hair for the first time last week. He has very curly hair and keeps it quite short, but it had grown long and curly. She said his curls hide her mistakes well and he liked it. He cuts their sons' hair. But DD has been commenting on all her friends doing without their color jobs and how bad some look. She has always done her own, and is the only one who doesn't have roots showing. I have heard about some bad home color jobs.

Had my hair cut about two weeks before lockdown so it’s going on nine weeks since I had it trimmed. It touches my shoulders now and I’m kind of liking it. No way am I cutting it myself. My side swept bangs are now long enough to catch behind my ears. That doesn’t look so good. I have rediscovered barrettes. I touched up my roots, so I’m okay there for now.

Just cut my bangs so far, but my pixie cut is hitting my collar now. Almost time to cut the bangs again. I too use Excellence by L'Oreal and have been coloring my own hair for many years. Super easy!
