Will someone talk with me about bulbs?
Comments (16)Thank you everyone for your help. I definitely am calling year #1 a success... My plan is to set the boxes aside in a sunny yet out-of-the-way spot after the flowers fade, and to buy new boxes for my annuals. After the foliage dies out I'll dig up the bulbs and use them again in the fall. I'll probably have more questions then, but for now, I just wanted to say thank you and to show off my beautiful balcony. :0) Here's a couple more pics, just for fun:...See MoreBM Shaker Beige - talk to me about it.
Comments (8)I found Shaker Beige can change depending on what is in the room. Looked great with my golden oak cabinets, did not look good with black furniture. It has a yellow undertone, looks great with golds and reds. I love Smokey Taupe and have used it for years in hallways and my living room. It doesn't have gold undertones and is more neutral. I repainted my living room with it, after many years and had trouble finding it. The store had to look it up on the computer and mix it. It is an old color. Comments (12)I went to a local lighting store (where I had previously bought fixtures) and got free help with the design. My kitchen is 9.5 x 13 approx., unlike yours I have cabs down both long sides ( one of those sides is shortened by the doorway to the basement steps) so my light is confined to a smaller footprint. I have 5 LED recess kits, 3 on one side with the main counter and sink, 2 on the basement entry side next to the frig and pantry; each 800 lumens I believe (maybe 900) = 3600-4000 lumens, and even dimmed to 75-80%, I have more than enough light for the counters with upper cabs without turning on the UCLs. I really feel that I didn't need all the undercabinet lights -- I rarely turn them on. I am a bit older and really appreciate good lighting -- I go into the kitchen when I need to see small print well. So it seems to me that for your space around 10,000-12,000 lumens would be a ballpark. I have no idea how the use of track lighting for some of that will effect the dispersal and effectiveness of the light, though....See MoreLets Talk About Bleach Baby, Lets Talk About You And ...
Comments (64)Mich, I've seen that in the stores and wondered about it. Some detergents don't have enzymes, I stear clear most of the time, however not every load is tragic, so not every load needs enzymes. If there's not a bunch of stains and the clothes just have the normal dust and body oils, that bottle of All probably does a nice job on darks and colors. I'm a powder fan but lately I've been enjoying some liquids, lol. Actually I have found liquids without enzymes make my sheets feel very smooth, I've been using a new boutique one I've run across, I'm not sure yet though if its the lack of enzymes or because its a liquid, but they do feel better I'll send a pic of it in a sec....See Morecawaps
