Small sectional sofas?
Comments (8)I looked at the dimensions on the Pottery Barn sectionals last night on line and I was impressed that it said the seat depth was about 23". Overall depth was 35"...so that seems to me like the back pillows would have be pretty supportive to prevent us from feeling like we were falling backwards but at least it might be worth trying. I also want to go try the Clayton Marcus at our nearby stores but unfortunately DS is home sick and I think may be tomorrow as well so it may be Friday or this weekend before I can pick up where I left off. I'll be sure to post the results of our next foray out to test sofas! I really appreciate the suggestions--thanks....See Moresectional sofa help
Comments (5)I have a purple (!) microsuede slip-covered sectional;about 10 years old. I was leery at purchase time b/c it was not at all what I'd imagined, but it has been wonderful. It cleans easily with a wet paper towel (until it's time to toss the slips into the washer), dog fur vacuums off easily, and it is soft and cozy but still stays tidy looking. The brand is Rowe (which does not have terrific online reviews ) but we've been very happy with it. The slips fit tightly and the purple color doesn't look crazy with my other furniture. The one problem is that the pieces do not fasten together well....See MorePottery Barn Pearce Sectional

Comments (4)My husband and I went to Room and Board today. We tried both the Jasper and the Astaire. Both are very comfortable. If you would like to sit straighter and get up from the sofa or sectional more easily, the Jasper is better. it is higher off the ground and has a shorter seated depth. If you plan to lounge or curl your legs up on the sofa, the Astaire seems better. We plan to buy the U-shaped 100x164 Astaire sectional. We have a large sunroom and plan to use it for lounging. I love the rounded larger end piece that is a rounded version of a "cuddler" piece on other sofas. The 27 inch depth of the Astaire is nice, especially with a pillow behind my back. We particularly like this sofa because it has a medium firmness on both back and seated cushions. Even though it is only 16 inches off the ground, we didn't sink further down and didn't feel like we needed help getting out of the sectional. That being said, if it had the 19 inch height of the Jasper, I would like it even that much better. The standard fabric on it comes in several other colors than shown for the same price (the Sumner line). It just takes longer to get those made. We are probably going for the Sumner Flax color. I have to say, as intriguing as the photo of the sectional is in photos, it looks more sophisticated in person....See Morecalidesign
