rocky, that is really funny! Now, I know I have made it sound like my husband is just horrible, but he really isn't at all! He is just a very factual person and apparantly somewhere on the roundup bottle it says that it will only harm the plants that you spray it on (or something to that effect). He just isn't buying that roundup is floating in the air and the only thing that it landed on and caused problems with are my roses. He wonders why everything in the yard isn't having problems too. I will admit, it is kind of a valid arguement since I can't give him an answer! Does amyone know if roundup damage causes the new thorns to be very soft and bendable? I'm still not sure if I'm dealing with roundup damage or RRD and I don't know if I should cut off all the funny looking growth or not.

for me.. the issue .. THE FIRST WINTER .... is heave ... the roots arent deep enough to hold with the freeze thaw fluffing of the soil ... then.. with roots that are 2 to 4 inches deep ... watering can become problematic ... they tend to be a lot less forgiving ... if not watered often ... these are NOT driveway hosta.. lol ... on top of all that... you have a nice little.. though aggressive baby bunting.. a weed ... but in TC.. they come up with all these edges.. and centers.. and the plants CAN BE inherently weaker .... a 1 inch edge on a 16 inch leaf is one thing.. but an significant edge on a leaf the size of the nail on your little finger... MIGHT BE just too much ... the trough thing .. is just to keep them nearer.. to get that extra TLC that will help them survive ... once a mini has achieved substantial mass ... relative to its size... it is like all other hosta ... and doesnt really need all the foo foo TLC ... years ago.. there was one guy.. who was actually using bonsai to mini large hosta ... i wonder what ever happened to harry ... ken

fwiw - I am having same problems for over a month. I posted on the "suggestions forum": safari problems/suggestions forum my last post there: UPDATE: I was okay for a day or two - but it's back to "400 Bad Request". mary4b's message prompted me to contact them again. I was willing to change browsers in order to access the site - not ideal, tho. It's a pain to claer cache (w safari) everytime I want access. Hi SoftballMom, From your post, I can't tell many of the important things. I realize that this seems like Greek to the common-man, and the analysis is counter-intutive to most folks... Have you CLOSED your revolving accounts, or merely paid them down (closing them eliminates the facility, and makes it appear you are less trustworthy since there are obviously fewer banks willing to lend you funds, or who have perhaps refused to continue lending you funds.) Open, but unused, revolving credit makes it obvious that ou are indeed credit worthy, and responsible with your credit management to boot. RECENTLY opened credit makes it appear you are "reaching" and not so strong. LONG STANDING OPEN credit looks like you are well-established and stable. NEXT; what is your current real-market home value? What loan-to-value are you proposing? NEXT: What is your proposed debt-to-income ratio, after the consolidations? Currently the general target is 38-45% or less of your gross (pre-tax gross) income can be alotted toward the combined total of minimum consumer debt payments, mortgage payments, monthly property taxes & insurance (and condo dues, if applicable.)
