Hi emy- I originally wanted inset and my quoted pricing was for inset doors. I got pricing for both Group A and Group B in Shiloh. Also inset in Dynasty, Bertch, etc. I ended up doing full overlay because it was a little cheaper, and ultimately because I was worried about "banging" up the edges since I am a very clumsy accident prone person and tend to bang my dishes around when I put them away. I also have a little one that I thought would abuse them. Love love love the look though. I will definitely give you the full report once they are installed. One thing I unfortunately cannot report on is the sliding shelves...I didn't order any. I ordered two 36" base drawer cabs, two 24" base drawer cabs, a 21" sliding double trash cab, corner recyle bin base cab, blind corner base cab, 36" farmhouse sink base, and a 12" tray divider. This excludes all island cabinetry (which is not Medallion). This may be premature, but I am so in love with my kitchen cabs that I ordered the same door style and color for my Master Bath vanity and countertop cabinet!My mom has Medallion too, in 3 different properties they own. No complaints on her end. This is how I became familiar with the Oyster Heirloom. She had it installed in a home they own, which we are living in while we build our new house. Shiloh is also a very nice line. Furniture quality stuff. You cannot go wrong with either company, IMHO. I will definitely post pics and details once my cabinets are installed.

Hi Patreesh, I went back and forth myself between the two colors. I never started out wanting a white kitchen, but my taste changed the more I looked at cabinet samples and the beautiful kitchens on this website. Part of the reason I went with the Oyster was my formal dining room set is almost the exact match in color to Morel Vintage and I thought more of that in the kitchen would be overkill. I also thought the Oyster vintage was a good compromise between white and wood cabinets. Something just drew me to the color. Both colors are neutral but the Oyster gives a more warm neutral while the Morel gives a more cool neutral. Because the oyster has a definite "color" to it (creamy yellow), you may be more limited in your decorating options are far as wall color, backsplash, etc... The morel may give you more color choices such as cool blue or greens for the walls. That being said, I love how my kitchen is just a warm neutral feeling all around and I used different shades of browns, tans, whites and some black to create it. I guess it's all about how you want your kitchen to "feel" when you walk into it. Either way you go, your kitchen will be beautiful. The finish on the painted Medallion cabinets is quite nice and doesn't have that plastic feel to it. Good luck!

I'm picking out cabinet colors and was thinking of using pecan glaze frost or wheat glaze frost for the cabinets along the walls and an off-white color with glaze(called morel vintage)for the island. Or maybe swap the two colors and have the island be the pecan and wall cabinets white. The floor will be wood. Anyone use the frost or some type of white glaze? I'm afraid it will give the cabinet a muddied look. Maybe the dark glaze is better? There will be a few fluted areas in the design where a glaze would bring out the detail. This is such a hard decision! I haven't even ordered anything and already have buyers remorse!

Marcy, I also went back and forth whether to get stained or painted cabinets. DH wanted stained, I wanted painted. I got Medallion Brookville Divinity color cabinets in my new kitchen a year ago. I am very happy with the Divinity painted finished. I almost got the glazing, but I didn't. Although I really liked the glazing, along with the other "extra" finishes that Medallion offers, I was afraid that they would looked outdated too soon. JMHO I've attached some photos of my kitchen if you're interested. The appliances are bisque and I think they look really nice with the Divinity color.
