Your current color looks pretty good. What direction were you wanting to go with it?

I would say the color you have now will work well..after finishing and living in it ....with added and natural light you may be able to add more color or contrast in your decor..for instance ....going with wicker type stools ..bamboo shades and wood accents...or black stools and black cafe table with black and white striped curtains.....this way you can be more flexible than if you choose a wall color at this point that will dictate other decor choices

@Aglitter i do like the current color. just wasn’t sure with the grey and white base of the quartz (our initial quartz had a white base) if I should use the current color at 50% or possibly use something with a little color- like a blue- grey. What do you think of the new quartz?

@btydrvn i agree that living in it for a little while is probably the way to go. After being inside and away from our house for the last few weeks especially with the inability to do anything else, I’m second guessing a lot of our decisions.

@Angelina B. I looked at your quartz again, and it is fabulous. From the pictures, though, it's really hard to pick up on the nuances of color you are referencing. I get the impression the quartz was photographed in shadows, so knowing how it is going to look under your kitchen lights in comparison to the paint is difficult from a computer screen. You might ask for a color consultant to help with that if there is one at the paint store and you have samples of the quartz to take with you. If you are definitely going to paint regardless, I always prefer a gray with a definite color leaning, so your blue-gray idea is one I would like as well if I were going to go with gray. One suggestion I might have is if you haven't checked out the Affinity Collection from Benjamin Moore that you do so. Those are just some really special colors in that collection. I searched for months among many different paint brands for the perfect shade of the color I needed for 3 rooms last summer and kept coming back to one in the Affinity Collection. I talked to an interior designer about it, and she said something like, "Oh, Affinity! Those are the best colors."

IMO make sure all the lighting is LEDs in 4000K before changing any wall color I think it looks good the wayit is and with good lighting should be fine. Where is the drum pendant going? I see no reason for a blue/gray if you really want a color I would be more inclined to do just a lighter version of what you have

There is two drum pendants that are going over the island. There is a lot of led recessed lights throughout the kitchen and in the breakfast area where the other fixture will be plus a large window and sliding glass door.

We are using Sereno Gold for our countertops as well. Do you happen to have any photos of your finished kitchen? Are you glad you went with the brass hardware? Keep going back and forth on colors. Curious too, what you ended up deciding on for paint colors?

The ” in“color this year just happens to be green. Personally I dont care what is ”in”, but I happen to think a nice light green ( not with blue undertones) would go great with all of your existing finishes. It also is a peaceful, fresh color for a kitchen. PS, I love the color of your flooring!!
