My boring living room
Comments (11)I agree it needs something there, and I like the idea of art instead of a bookcase. Maybe you could put the baby head to work? If you bought an inexpensive canvas & a selection of paint colors that you like with the scheme you have planned (plus a couple contrasting ones) - is the baby old enough to produce some abstract art? Even as a temporary solution, it might give that corner a sense of purpose. What strikes me is that you have a lot of solid colors. Solid white, beige, and gray. A patterned rug would help (but I know it takes time to find one you really like). I think that's why it feels like you need art in that corner more than a bookcase. An alternative would be a collection of small plants (air plants?) in small pots in the light blue you like. Put them on shelves (since you have room for shelves mounted to the wall) and maybe add a few keepsakes as well....See Morehelp with my boring living room!
Comments (120)My friend is buying my credenza from me tomorrow so i get to buy a new one! Which one do we like better? The top one is slightly more expensive. I can’t decide which tones would work better...See MoreHow to make my boring living room come to life??
Comments (9)Yes I remember I tried to reply but it kept saying houzz was going under some maintenance and I wasn’t getting other answers so I started a new one with a different question (I didn’t ignore what you said) also classic gray isn’t so gray though....it’s more of an off white i hear. I put a sample of a color with a yellow/Beige hue and it just didn’t look right either so I think I might have to go somewhere in between. And I have a few ceiling lights with a fanlight. The issue is in the day not at night. I don’t want to turn on those lights during the day at all. I want to work with natural light. Thank you though....See MoreHow to design my boring wall in living room?
