Comments (5)If you are working with wood-joist construction, then you must run the wood perpendicular to the joists. If this is concrete construction, then you run the LONG edge of the planks in the same direction as the LONG RUN of the condo. Comments (14)Hi Linda, fair enough ripping tile is not as fun. I do think the effect will flow more nicely lengthwise, including matching the orientation of the tiles along the tub and makethe room seem . I did the same thing recently in my old bathroom that was a similar shape and size.
