Exterior paint trim color best with light color brick?
Comments (2)Here are some color options : Also here are how some other homeowners have painted their homes with orange brick: (the first one isn't quite the same color as yours, but I thought it was close enough to share). It is tough, because most people have white with the orange brick. Maybe a combo of white trim, with the last photo's grey/ or blue for the siding and garage....See Morebest trim color for Monroe Bisque AND MontereybWhite
Comments (0)My kitchen cabinets are Monterey White. I want a slight lighternwhitenfor the trim color that won't clash with it and that I can carry into the nextnwoom,m whichnis Monroe Bisque. Both rooms are north facing but with large windows (bright norther light) I was originally going to use the Monterey White as trim in both rooms but it does not contrast enoucghnwith the Monroe Bisque. I also tried cutting the MW in half and that could work, although now it appears to have a slight red or pink undertone. it isn't necessarily bad, but I am uncertain about it....See MoreHelp! what is the best white wall and trim color??
Comments (6)The correct white would be what works with your furnishings. If you have very earthy finished a stark white will look wrong. There’s blue white, true white, off-white, cream. All can read ’white’ but depends on everything else in the room. Do you have photos you can share? What is your flooring? Whats your kitchen look like? Do you have white cabinets? Stained? bm cloud white is an off white that you could use for trim and door if you had to pick something And we’re trying to play safe. Most people can’t pull off white walls though. A lot of times looks like they forgot to paint. Pose some photos and people will be able to better help. Go digging around Maria Killam‘s blog and do some reading up on whites. I’m not affiliated. There’s a lot of good info there....See MoreBest white paint color for low natural indoor light
Comments (17)You are right about the North facing rooms being difficult to make look brighter. Usually White Paint in a North room doesn't work. White paint needs light in order to make it look white! That's prob why you have difficulty. plus, it's usually a cooler, bluer light from the north. AS you can see, your winter white is a gray/green undertone. not the best color to have in a bathroom! Definitely not a warm white! Vanilla Milkskake is a warmer white. leans on the yellow/green spectrum though I tried White Dove in my room (west/south) and couldn't stand it. too dingy looking. I painted over it w/Simply White. White Opulance is a nice white. but it's a red undertone, not a warm yellow. (has a very slight pink hue. This one would actually be better in your bathroom) You should read those links I posted above. she talks about diff light from diff directions and gives paint advice. https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/the-best-most-popular-benjamin-moore-paint-colours-north-facing-northern-exposure-rooms/...See Morelindanewc
