Accent Wall in Entry Foyer
Comments (4)That drop front desk in your last photo looks to be blocking the hallway on the left. Have you considered switching it and the table? I think you need that visual kind of weight in the entry. In addition, there's an outlet where the desk is, so you can place a lamp on the table in the new location. Generally, I don't think accent walls are helpful where there is architectural interest already built in as with your arches. Where would be your stop/start points? I like the entry to express the owner's style and hint at what's to come in the adjoining rooms. Since everything is pretty open here, I would paint the entry to match the main room it opens to. Comments (5)You have so much lovely green outside, and you’ve brought some of it inside, I’d give in the feeling of a garden room. I don’t know what green hues work with your existing trim and the other spaces people will be transiting into, but maybe going to the BM website will answer that. I also don’t know how distinctly green you’d want to go, and whether you would like to add another color (if you like a garden feel). For instance, pink/rose accents or yellow/golden ones or really cool blues. Lastly, I don’t know how you feel about wallpaper in your house, but you don’t appear to have a lot of wall space to cover, so maybe it would be a lovely touch. You’d want to pay a paper hanger to a pro job though...See MoreFoyer entrance makeover

Comments (7)It’s a busy little area so I’d aim to make it feel less broken up/larger. If your kitchen is a dark blue/grey, suggest using the same undertone but in a mid range shade - light enough to brighten, but dark enough to hide scuffs. I’d paint the trim, baseboards and back door the same color. To avoid wear and tear on the floor, but also to make hallway fun, consider a vinyl runner. https://www.vmathome.com/collections/best-sellers?page=2 Add some prints and you’re done. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1146145088/sailboat-prints-set-vintage-nautical?epik=dj0yJnU9ZGhZSEJnLV9pYW9BSGxxM19QRmN6WkRIQnVNcUh5a2kmcD0wJm49V3lKM3RRUmVKZC1VRGtkcE5LTXl6ZyZ0PUFBQUFBR1RkSExB...See MoreRelated Professionals
