Need help picking out paint colors for Master bath update

Rather than painting the cabinets, you could get new doors and veneer the frames - there are internet sources for the supplies that cost a lot less than the companies that sell that service, and it's not a difficult DIY project. Replacement framed shower doors can be gotten stock from HD pretty inexpensively. The tile being neutral is probably good for resale - I'd take that as the color pallette and make it look planned. What color is the counter top - looks like an ivory - that would work with beige neutrals, too. If you can change the cab doors and frame to a stained wood that blends and a beige/ivory neutral scheme, then you could use a couple of 'staging props' of green and have it looks like the planned 'spa naturals' trend. That would go well with the Green Tea MB, I think. I'd definitely change out the big mirrors - I still see them on Houzz from time to time, but to me they really look like the 80's without a frame. Cutting them down to allow you to frame them with picture moulding (stained to match cab's) on the sides and top is an inexpensive option, too, that could be made to look 'custom planned'. It's no harder to cut mirror than any other type of non-tempered glass, just remember to stop by a hobby shop first and pick up some fixative to spray on the mirrored back before cutting (this keeps the mirror finish from being damaged.) Decorative moulding to make the frames is also pretty inexpensive at HD and Lowes, and mitering for the corners is also pretty easy. Just a few ideas off the top - not exciting, I know......See MoreMy Master Bath Needs HELP!

I think the frustrating part for me right now is I don't know what my style really is. If someone were to ask what my decorating style is I'm not sure I could answer. I'm planning to keep the green paint. I feel the rest of my house is a bit dark and I'm wanting a bit of a light and airy retreat. I sincerely appreciate all the input! After the bathroom is up to par I'll move on to the dining room....beware!...See MoreFloor Plan Advice/Help - MasterBed too big, MasterBath too small?
Comments (4)To me, the floorpan seems to make sense as it is. You could extend the bath slightly into the bedroom to give you a longer countertop space, about where the wall of bedroom2 runs, but you need to know if that works with your bedroom furniture. You could also slide the shower over to the back part of your closet, accessed from the shorter end, to slide to toilet down and have more countertop. It depends on your priorities....See MoreMaster bath repair, need help with pain samples
Comments (10)IMO that granite is really not worth dealing with in anew bathroom no accent tile and IMO the niceset look in a bathroomis 12 x24 tile porcealin plain the same on the bathroom floor and the shower walls a nice new shower door trying to now get new sinks to fit where the old ones were will be a PITA and those sinks and those tiles IMO do not work together and I bet the toilet matches the sinks which IMO needs to change too . Then a nice simple quartz counter with the same greige color in it and new simple sinks.. I think a master bathroom needs to connect to the MBR so I would need to see that too. I think to try to save some of the cheapest parts will only cost more . I would do a nice light greige tile , white fixtures and stainless knobs and handles on the vanity leave the vanity the dark color and paint the walls the same as the bedroom a nice stack of white fluffy towels and maybe some blue pieces on the counter for showings. Please make sure all the lighting in both rooms is LED in 4000K and then clean everthing twice in the whole house a clean house will sell better even if some stuff is old. Remove all clutter from every space especially the kitchen all familt pictures also....See Morelindacottonwood
