House Trim Color Ideas!!

Hi! We just bought this gorgeous home but the trim color is ATROCIOUS! We want to repaint it but we are really struggling to find a color coordinate with the pinky brick. Also, the privacy fence is a Deep red/brown. WE know it probably needs to be a dark color because of the lightness of the body of the house, but have no idea after that, Any help is appreciated!

I had actually thought about doing a darker trim, such as a green or brown color, etc. I'm going to get some samples and try them out to see if I like any of them. We had thought we would just do white, but now that I see these other colors, there's no way I want to go with white! I do have a couple of questions though: We have gutters/downspouts on our house. We plan on getting a all new gutters in the fall, so do we paint those the same as the trim then? Also, our house has had shutters on it since it was built in the 70's. We just took them down to paint the brick. We had thought we would put shutters back up to match the trim, but should we just leave them off? I've included a few more pictures of the house that I took today. I hope they show the colors better. Of the two pictures above (how did you get the car out of the driveway?!), I really like both color schemes, but I can't decide which one I like better!! Thanks! Comments (4)I would paint the garage doors some color whose intensity mirrors the brick. I don't know what color because I can't see the roof color, which should also be taken into account. Comments (13)I wouldn’t want to decorate around something I didn’t like. If you are painting walls, you can paint trim that makes everything look like it belongs together. Just imagine you have a shirt you hate but buy a skirt, shoes, scarf, and jewelry to go with the shirt you hate. Will you ever really be comfortable? I personally hate to paint, but just finished two rooms during the quarantine! Comments (20)What an amazing home! Yes, I have seen that last photo's home tour before and loved it! It's what I first thought of when I was reading your vision. I think some black grid windows will look fantastic. I would also eliminate the rod iron Juliet balconies. I don't think removing them is diminishing the Spanish style at all. I wouldn't paint the brick. I think anything with the terra-cotta color is a huge plus. Down the road, a terra-cotta tile walk would look amazing coupled with a white stucco pony wall in place of the brick! I would remove all the shrubbery and focus on adding in succulents, which do well in the bay area naturally. Succulents will add in that soft green color that coordinates so well with the terra-cotta colors as well as add dimension and a sculptured element. I would leave the garage doors as is. 4 years agoGrey trim that comes close to matching the roof and either gray or white for the garage door. Stain the fence to match the one on the left.
