Need Sunroom Help...Please
Comments (16)Thanks for all of your feedback it is making me feel more comfortable with the sofa. Which is big for me because I can never make a decision. I have been looking at this sofa forever too! Les, you made some good points & I will have to go to the store to see how much these pillows move around. I forgot I was also concerned that it came in 3 separate pieces & I'm afraid they would move as well. Jane thanks for posting the photo of your lovely sunroom. It is exactly the look that I am going for...a comfortable space with lots of plants, and I like the idea of the plant stand. I have been looking at Ikea & they have a lot of planters that I thought would go well in there. And yes, you did get a great find on Craigslist! oh & dd50 thanks for reminding me to lay out where the couch will be in the room. It is a much larger room than it looks in the photos but it does have a door in the center on either side & I want to make sure the traffic flow will be ok. Here is a photo from rms (rate my space) that I liked which led me to this couch. I think this is the lighter honey colored one though. ">...See MoreDecor Ideas for White sunroom
Comments (8)We had a white sunroom with white wicker. It was sterile and cold. So, two years ago, I had beadboard installed on the ceiling and painted the ceiling Haint Blue. Then I painted the wicker a turquoise/green (wanted a green used in the Caribbean but could not quite get that color). Here's the result of my small sun porch. These were taken in the summer when all my plants are outside on the terrace. They come into here for the winter - rather crowded but lovely and lush and green. And then there are all the amaryllis bulbs as well - at least one blooming form Christmas til Easter! They live in the antique wire plant stand and on the copper tray on the chest behind the child's rocker. It's one of my favorite rooms in my house - eat my yoghurt out there every single morning!...See MoreHELP!! Need Inspiration for Sunroom/Three Season Room in New England
Comments (9)Cozy? I would paint this room a deep green to make it cozy and the texture of the walls will lend itself to rustic. Bring the beauty of nature, which is the focus point, into the room. I would replace the ceiling light fixtures with matching small ceiling fans, recover the furniture pads to coordinate with the color of the walls, switch the seating so that the settee faces the windows, and between the rocker and the settee, I'd put a small end table with a reading lamp. An indoor/outdoor carpet would anchor that area. Some hanging plants in front of the windows would be a nice touch....See MoreHelp us design newly renovated sunroom!
Comments (9)A couch may be too overwhelming and a love seat is not comfy for two for any length of time watching tv. Maybe consider really comfy chairs (see below) with ottomans placed on an angle facing tv. Add blue cushions and a rug, to work with outdoor furniture and a floor lamp for low lighting so space can feel cozy at night when watching tv Add small serving tables beside each chair for practical purposes. The bar cart on wall next to doorway so it provides more room for seating vs where you were going to place and just add tv above on the wall...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
