light fixture over kitchen table off-center
Comments (3)If the fixture does not weigh over 25 pounds, you could purchase a 2' piece of track and an end feed along with a pendant adaptor. The track would run from the box to where you need the fixture to hang (the track can be cut) and you would wire the fixture to the adaptor. This has been done many times. If you don't like the idea of the hook, but it is the easiest, you can get a cord cover which is sold in lighting showrooms that matches the colors in the fixture and just put that over the chain and hook, then extend it over to where the box is. Hope this helps....See Moresink off center of window - what about a light?
Comments (1)I would center it on the window. You may want to do an off center faucet as well. Try mocking up the faucet and the fixture centered with the sink off center. This has to be an undermount sink without pre determined holes. If you want the faucet to be centered on the sink I would do a recessed light centered over the sink....See MoreDining Room Light Fixture - Off Center
Comments (12)It appears that your chandelier is too high. The bottom of the fixture should be about 30” from the table top. Since lowering it while it is that off center would create other problems, I''d be happier with swagging the light to the center of the table and lowering it....See MoreSizing off-center light fixtures?
Comments (8)I may need to raise the fixture I've selected a bit, but code varies from place to place it seems so we'll see what the inspector has to say. It's doubtful that anyone is going to stand on the rim of a cast-iron tub to change a light bulb (especially while the tub is full), and if it's going to fall on me while I'm in the tub (which would mean it's no longer connected to the power source), I don't think it matters how high it's hung. This one was installed by our electrician, who was insistent upon placement of the breaker boxes due to codes but didn't say anything about this light. Neither did our GC. We may move it regardless as it does seem a bit oversized for this space, to return to my original question....See MoreSabrina Alfin Interiors
